Christine has been teaching private lessons since she was a senior at Cardinal Mooney High School. Her mother encouraged her to try since she loved music and had studied from the age of 8 with Edna Bachman. In high school she also got the opportunity to accompany the high school musical as well as instrumentalists’ auditions which turned out to be a life-long talent.
After high school she studied at Nazareth College of Rochester and graduated with a degree in Applied Music and Performance. Her teacher was Robert Hobstetter . Since that time she has had experience teaching in some schools (always private lessons) but mainly in her home studio. She teaches piano and voice and music theory as well as accompanying and playing with small ensembles.
Her research and study of learning styles and right brain learning and early childhood education have been helpful in teaching all ages. She is a member of the Rochester Chapter of the Piano Teachers’ Guild.
